Enterprise Technology Services and Operations

Enterprise Technology Services and Operations (ETSO) is committed to the implementation of “best practices” in the establishment of highly responsive and available computing platforms for the Johns Hopkins Health System and Johns Hopkins University. Focused in the areas of Enterprise Server, mid-range and departmental servers, personal computers, data center operations, security, disaster recovery, and customer services, ETSO supports the various key computing platforms for financial systems as well as clinical care applications. ETSO ensures the ongoing operation of the combined JHHS and JHU data center and provides customer assistance through its’ Help Desk, Technical Assistance, and Student Technology Services functions.

ETSO is comprised of four major divisions; Engineering Services, Desktop Computing Services, Data Center Services, and Customer Services. Collectively, approximately 240 dedicated professional and administrative staff serve the IT needs of customers throughout the various Hopkins locations. Help Desk, Production Support, and Computer Operations are provided on a 24/7 basis with rapid access to engineering staff as needed.
